Concert and Three-Course-Dinner with Latinos Clássicos Duo at NOACK Kulturforum

  • Mark Prihodko Consultancy 17 Kulmer Straße Berlin, BE, 10783 Germany (map)

About the Event
Perhaps latest when on his worldwide performance tours, the iconic pianist Arthur Rubinstein met, and fell in love with Astor Piazzolla, and the Argentinian composer’s music stirring rhythm and sensual temperament, the classical canon has instituted a broad enthusiasm for classical music performances at the intersection of Latino culture.

With spellbinding performances, guitarist Mateus Dela Fonte and paraíba flutist Vítor Diniz, communicate this passion anew, bringing together their classical training and the music of their shared Brazilian homeland.

As a duo renowned as Latinos Clássicos, they impress with the finest technical precision and fiery performances that break all barriers between European classical music and South American popular music.

In a program that will embark on a journey from the roots of Western classical music to the contemporary sounds of the Brazilian composer and guitarist Marco Pereira, both young virtuoso performers bring their inspiring interpretations and their humorous and spontaneous style to Noack for the first time.

About Artists

Mateus Dela Fonte – Born in Salvador, Brazil, Dela Fonte’s varied range of technical precision and musical ability has earned him accolades and awards on three different continents. Performing in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, the young guitarist has been named “Best interpreter of Brazilian music" (João Pessoa, 1998) and "Best interpretation of a work by Bach" (Iserlohn, Germany, 2010). In Germany, he studied at the Federal Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart with guitarist Johannes Monno, where he is currently on the teaching faculty.

Born in João Pessoa, Brazil, it was the passion for the music of Bach that originally drew flutist Vítor Diniz to Germany at age 17. Like Dela Fonte, he became a faculty member of the Federal Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, where he teaches next to giving masterclasses in Brazil. Besides performing worldwide with Dela Fonte as the Duo Latinos Clássicos, he has dedicated himself to the Brazilian dance style of Forró, rooted in the northeastern regions of Brazil.
